DOWNLOAD Innovisions 2012 Agenda

The race to innovate, the search for talent and the quest for new markets define today’s global business environment. 72% of companies see innovation as a "top three" strategic priority, and 61% are planning to increase the amount they spend on innovation, although many of these companies will fail to turn intention into action [Bloomsberg]. Manufacturing CEOs from around the world rank “innovation” as the top challenge they face this year [Conference Board's CEO Challenge 2012 survey]. The top ranking for innovation signals intense global competition and overcapacity in several commoditised sectors, underscoring the importance of process and product innovation to remain competitive.

Innovisions 2012 is an “Inquiry” style conference, inviting senior leaders to share their views and ideas and inspire others to create the innovation engine to address some of today’s challenges. The conference is sponsored by EDF Energy.

Innovisions is NEF’s flagship annual conference. Previous speakers included amongst others: Science Ministers, Education and Skills Ministers, the Minister for Energy and Climate Change; seniors officials from BIS, DECC and HM Treasury; seniors executives from Cisco, Microsoft, Rolls Royce, National Grid, Jaguar Land Rover, DuPont, Siemens, Unilever, E.ON; Principals, Vice-Chancellors and academic leaders from many colleges and universities. The conference will also feature the announcement of the Innovation Award Winners in 3 Categories: Business, Education and Public Policy. In addition, EDF Energy will also be announcing their new Campus.
